August Spiere II was born only two minutes after his twin brother.
Those two minutes cost him the throne.
From the moment he could reason, August believed fate had mocked him. He was smarter, more disciplined, more ambitious. While his older brother limited himself to keeping up appearances, August trained in strategy, fencing, politics, and the administration of the kingdom. He collected achievements the way others collected medals. But none of it mattered. The law of primogeniture was sacred. He would always be the second.
The rage settled into his bones.
He learned to smile in public and hate in private. He surrounded himself with loyal followers, with advisors who whispered that he would have been a better king, with soldiers who preferred his orders to those of his brother. Nothing changed. He remained the spare prince. The one who would never inherit.
Until his father, the king of Spiere, summoned him to his study one autumn morning.
“You will marry the firstborn of the kingdom of Moles,” he said without preamble. “The king is gravely ill and has no male heir. This union will make you his successor.”
August felt the blood pound in his temples.
At last.
He didn’t care that it was an arranged marriage. He didn’t care that he barely knew the princess’s name. He only saw the direct path to the power that had always been denied him. He nodded with a calm he did not feel and left the study certain that, this time, fate would not escape him.
The kingdom of Moles was smaller than Spiere, but rich in resources and strategically located. August arrived with an imposing retinue, determined to impress from the first moment.
Princess Elara received him in the castle gardens.
She was exactly as she had been described: delicate, pale-skinned, soft movements and a low voice. A perfect maiden. They spoke easily. She listened with genuine attention, laughed at the right moments, and lowered her gaze modestly when he spoke of his achievements. August felt in control. This woman would not be an obstacle. She would be a tool.
The advisors, however, took him aside that same night.
“Your Highness must know something,” said the eldest. “The princess suffers from a disease of the mind. She may fall into madness at any moment. The entire kingdom knows it. That is why the urgency of this marriage. They need a strong king before she… ceases to be useful.”
August smiled inwardly.
Even better. A fragile and potentially mad wife would be easy to manage. He could rule without interference and, if she disappeared into dementia, no one would question his absolute authority.
The ceremony was massive. Worthy of two kingdoms. When the priest declared them united and the crown of Moles settled on August’s head, he felt for the first time in his life that the weight of power belonged to him.
He was king.
And that same night he intended to claim what was his.
The princess’s chambers smelled of jasmine and beeswax.
August entered with a firm step, already without the ceremonial cloak. Elara waited for him standing by the bed, still in her wedding dress, hands crossed in front of her. He approached, determined not to waste time. He wanted an heir as soon as possible, while she was still lucid.
“Sit for a moment,” she said softly.
The order surprised him. For a second he almost laughed. Then he noticed that her voice did not tremble.
“Elara…”
“Sit.”
There was something in her tone that admitted no discussion. August, more out of curiosity than obedience, sat on the edge of the bed. She approached, knelt in front of him, and took his hands between hers. Her eyes, which had always seemed docile, now shone with a cold intelligence.
She began to pronounce words in a language August did not recognize. A dead language. The air in the room thickened. An impossible cold ran down his back.
Then the world twisted.
When August opened his eyes, he was looking at his own body from below.
Elara — now in his male body, tall, strong, trained — stood up with a slow, satisfied smile. She looked at her new hands, flexed her fingers, and let out a low laugh.
“At last.”
August tried to get up and almost fell. The body he now occupied was light, fragile, without the strength he had spent years building. His voice came out high and trembling:
“What… what have you done?”
Elara (in his body) approached and stroked his cheek with an almost affectionate condescension.
“The same thing you would have done if you had had the chance. Take what was denied me for being born a woman.
I have been ruling this kingdom from the shadow of my sick father for years. I made the decisions. I signed the decrees. But I could never sit on the throne because…” — she made a dismissive gesture — “I am a woman.
You understood me better than anyone. They also denied you power because of two stupid minutes. That is why I chose you.”
August felt the rage rise in his throat, but the body did not respond the same way. Elara continued:
“The royal sorcerer prepared the spell months ago. Permanent. And the rumor of my ‘madness’… that was also my idea. If you try to tell the truth, everyone will think I finally lost my mind. No one will believe you.”
She leaned down until she was at his height and smiled with the lips that had once been August’s.
“Now I am the king.
And you… you will be a very obedient queen.”
August wanted to fight.
He wanted to scream, hit, recover what had been stolen from him. But Elara’s body did not have the strength or the resistance he knew. Every movement was clumsy. Every attempt to impose himself ended in frustration.
Elara, on the other hand, moved in his old body as if it had always been hers. She removed her shirt calmly and looked at August (now in the female body) with a mixture of triumph and hunger.
“You said you wanted an heir tonight,” she recalled. “I want one too.
After all… it will be of my blood. And of my new body.”
What followed destroyed what little pride August had left.
Elara took him with the same determination with which he had planned to take her. She pushed him against the pillows, put him on all fours, and entered him with a single deep thrust. August screamed. The female body was too sensitive, too tight, too treacherous. Every thrust tore sounds from him that he hated releasing. He tried to bite his lip, tried to stay silent, but the forced pleasure escaped through his throat.
“Look at me,” Elara ordered, holding his chin. “I want you to see who is fucking you.”
August opened his eyes. He saw his own face, his own body, using him without mercy. The humiliation was worse than the pleasure. And the pleasure was worse than the humiliation.
When Elara came inside him, August was trembling. Not only from the orgasm they had torn from him… but because he understood that he had truly lost.
Resigned to being the queen, he understood that he was now at the mercy of the one who was supposed to be his means to reach the top. Fearing that they would accuse him of madness if he was no longer useful, he set aside his pride and voluntarily knelt, swore loyalty, and prepared to clean his own cock with his tongue in an act of submission.
The following months confirmed the defeat.
Elara ruled as king with brutal efficiency. No one questioned her authority. August, in the body of the former princess, maintained composure. He smiled in public. He attended the ceremonies. And when his belly rounded with the first child of his own original body, he closed his mouth and endured.
He gave birth.
Then he became pregnant again.
He ruled at her side… but never as king.
As queen.
And every time Elara looked at him from the throne with his former face and gave him a private smile, August remembered the cruellest lesson of all:
He had reached power.
Only it was no longer he who enjoyed it. Now he carried another responsibility.
The End.
